Japan to help to extend channel for coal import through Nakhodka

The Vostochny Port (Nakhodka) and Japanese trading house Marubeni Corp. have signed an agreement for supply of special equipment forthe construction of the third stage of a coal mining complex in the port. The amount of the contract made up 3.5 billion rubles.

The launch of the third phase of the complex is scheduled for January 2017, Vostochny Port reported.
"All equipment is manufactured, supplied and installed by the same company - this condition gives a guarantee that there won’t be difficulties in the interoperability of all the mechanisms during the operation, - managing director of the company, Anatoly Lazarev emphasized. - The project of the third stage provides for the construction of four additional warehouses, equipped with two stackers and four reclaimers. The additional mooring with two ship-loaders, wagon unloading station with two tandem car-dumpers will be also constructed. According to the terms of the contract, the equipment will be delivered during 16 months from the date of signing of the transfer and acceptance act of project documentation".
