The Ukraine reduced coal extraction by more than 50% from the beginning of 2015

​In Jan-July 2015 coal extraction companies of the Ukraine reduced coal extraction by 50.8% (by 23.516,4 mln tons) against Jan-July 2014.

The extraction made up 22.806 mln tons.

Coking coal extraction in Jan-July 2015 fell by 62.7% (by 7.747 mln tons) to 4.688,1 mln tons, thermal coal – by 46.5% (by 15.769 mln tons) to 18.118 mln tons.

In Jan-July 2015 the state mines controlled by the Ministry of Energy and Coal reduced extraction by 71.3% (by 10 mln tons) to 4.24 mln tons, including coking coal extraction fell by 67.2% (by 2.4566 mln tons) to 1.197 mln tons, thermal coal – by 72.7% (by 7.5438 mln tons) to 2.8268 mln tons.
