Azerbaijan doesn’t plan to renew petrol exports

Azerbaijan will not renew gasoline export and will go on directing the entire volume of the produced in the country fuel for domestic consumption, Vice-President of SOCAR for processing issues, D. Mamedov, said.
Azerbaijan needs about 1.4 mln liters of gasoline a year.
Azerbaijan won’t export gasoline. It is not that beneficial for us due to gasoline quality and thus it is easier to cover the domestic need, he said.
On the results of Q1 2015 SOCAR reduced oil extraction by 2%. In Q1 fuel export rose by 41.9% to 475 thousand tons of oil products.
