Uzbekistan to invest $18.65 bln into oil-and-gas sector including petrochemicals production

Uzbekistan is about to realize 54 projects at a total cost  $18.65 billion in the oil-and-gas sector before 2020. According to the chairman of the Board of Management of the national holding company “Uzbekneftegaz” Sh. Faizullaev, the appropriate programme, which considers the diversification and modernization of the sector, has been confirmed by the head of the state.

“The implementation of the plans will contribute to the creation of new capacities on the production of 8.55 billion cubic meters of gas, 71.7 thousand tons of oil and 161 thousand tons of gas condensate, 361.2 thousand tons of liquefied gas, 742 tons of polyethylene, 500 thousand tons of polypropylene, 863 thousand tons of petrol and 304 thousand tons of kerosene,” S.Faizullaev said at a conference within the framework of the international exhibition Oil Gas Uzbekistan-2015 on Wednesday.
