Gazpromneft-Regional sales proves in court that it isn’t monopoly

The FAS tried to punish the company with two million penalty for too high prices for gasoline, but the company appealed the decision in court.

Yesterday, the Eighth Arbitration Appellate Court considered the statement of Gazpromneft - Regional Sales. The company demanded to cancel the two-million fine, imposed by the FAS. Let’s recall that in July 2015 the Omsk FAS recognized the company a violator of the Law "On Protection of Competition". According to the Service, it set monopoly high small wholesale price of AI-92, AI-95, G-Drive-95 gasoline and winter diesel fuel in the territory of the Omsk region, which resulted or could result in infringement of the interests of the small wholesale buyers of motor gasoline and diesel fuel. For these violations the Antimonopoly Service fined Gazpromneft - Regional Sales.
