FAS keeps promising cheap fuel
FAS expects a further price fall for fuel in the retail and wholesale markets, the head of the control management department of the Fuel and Energy sector of FAS, D. Makhonin, said.
There is a potential for the wholesale price fall as well as the retail price.
D. Makhonin said that previously the prices for fuel grew annually by the level of inflation, in 2015 their rates of growth are by about twice lower than the inflation rate.
From mid November until mid December 2015 residual oil on SPIMEX fell in price by 37.5%, Premiium-95 fuel –by 18.3%, Regular-92 – by 10%, winter diesel fuel-by 12.5%, summer diesel fuel-by 11.3%.
In April 2015 D. Makhonin said that the growth of prices for oil products in the domestic market of Russia stays at the rates of inflation.
In December 2014 D. Makhonin said that the growth of prices for oil products in 2015 would make up 3-4 roubles/liter.
