Evraz increased primary steel production by 1.1%

In Q2, Evraz increased its primary steel production by 1.1% to 3.918 million tons, by 4.2% less than within the corresponding period of the previous year. Steel products yield minus the inter-group supplies increased by 5.7% to 3.556 million tons due to tthe growth in the production of construction steel and rails in Russia on the background of the high level of demand in the internal market. Steel plates production was reduced by one third versus the former quarter and by 62% versus the corresponding period of the previous year. The share of ready steel products in the consolidated production reduced to 70% versus 74% in Q1 2014.
