Gazprom and the Government of Tatarstan develop gas fuel for motor vehicles

The president of Tatarstan R.Minnikhanov and the chairman of the Board of Management of OJSC “Gazprom” A.Miller discussed the development of gas fuel market for motor vehicles in the republic during the working meeting. It is said about in a statement of the company.

There operate eleven NGV-refueling compressor stations of “Gazprom” in the republic. This year the company is about to start the construction of three more gas stations in the region, to be more exact in Nizhnekamsk, Zelenodolsk and Bugulma.

The regional government also takes concrete steps on the expansion of gas vehicle fuel use in the region. There realized programme on the development of gas vehicle fuel market in 2013-2023. The document considers a purchase of passenger-carrying, municipal, agricultural and other gas-engine equipment, as well as investments into the construction of infrastructure for its servicing. The republic purchased 262 compressed natural gas driven buses.
