Coal production reduced by 21.6% due to the armed conflict in the Donetsk region

In 2014, the Ukrainian coal production enterprises reduced coal yield to 46.323 million tons, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry reports. In January – July, they reduced coking coal yield by 9.6% to 12.435 million tons, and energy coal by 0.5% to 33.887 million tons. In July, coal production reduced by 21.6% to 5.583 million tons due to the armed conflict in the Donetsk region.

In January – July, coal production was 20.184 million tons in the Donetsk region, and 13.947 million tons in the Lugansk region.
