Kuzbas to put into operation 19 coal enterprises

The Kemerovo region is going to increase coal mining to 260 million tons by 2025 due to expanding current production and the construction of new facilities, the press service of regional administration reported yesterday.

In compliance with the strategy of development of Kuzbas coal industry, it is planned to put into operation 19 coal mining enterprises and 14 concentrating factories. At the moment there are 63 mines and 57 open-pit mines, as well as 49 concentrating factories and units in the region. Their production capacity makes up 245 million tons per year (coal mining) and 166 million tons per year (processing).
