Rosneft has started navigation by the Volga River

​The oil refinery plants of the Samara group of Rosneft – Novokuybyshevsky, Kuybyshevsky and Syzransky have started the shipment of oil products by river transport.

On April 1st 2016 the shipment of oil products produced by the Saratov oil refinery plant by river started.

A significant part of oil products from the terminals of the Samara group of Rosneft and Saratov oil refinery plant will be shipped under the supervision of Rosnefteflot as well as by Rosneft’s own fleet (in particular, Prime Shipping which vessels were purchased in 2015).

Annually Rosneft ships over 4 mln tons of light and dark oil products by river, including for bunkering.

The fleet working for the shipment of the company’s oil products, makes up over 140 river tankers and barges of various vessel owners.

The navigation-2016 in the Samara and Saratov regions is planned to last until the end of November 2016 similar to 2015.
