Artemugol and Dzerzhinskugol interest foreign investors

The International company ArcelorMittal, which owns the Ukrainian metallurgical combine ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog is interested in the privatization of Ukrainian state-owned coal enterprises to provide its metallurgical enterprises with coking coal, the First Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry, Yuriy Zyukov reported at the briefing on June, 19th.

"We carried out works with the world metallurgical companies such as ArcelorMittal, in part of their provision with coal ... They are interested in our mines, in particular, the Central Donbass’s mines - Artemuugol and Dzerzhinskugol in terms of their privatization and attracting foreign investments,"- said Zyukov.

According to him, representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry met with representatives of ArcelorMittal in Luxembourg and discussed coal purchases for ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog and other European enterprises in the Ukraine. During the meeting, the Ministry presented the technical documentation for study of coals characteristics and potential volume of their production in the Central Donbass.
