Diesel fuel reserves in Kazakhstan exceed the necessary level by twice

​The reserves of diesel fuel in Kazakhstan exceed the necessary volume by twice, Vice-Minister of energy of Kazakhstan, M. Mirgazaliev, said explaining the ban for the import of diesel fuel from Russia.

According to him, annually a plan is signed with Russia in conformity with which in 2015 it is planned to import 1.1 mln tons of gasoline, 520 thousand tons of diesel fuel and 266 tons of jet fuel. Meanwhile in Jan-February 2015, 400 thousand tons of gasoline, 200 thousand tons of diesel fuel were imported, that exceeded the necessary level by 2-3 times.

Today the gasoline reserves in the country make up about 350 thousand tons, diesel fuel – exceed 500 thousand tons.  “In this connection we have discussed this issue with Russia, our colleagues from the Ministry of Energy of Russia and have decided to extend the ban for a month”, Mr. Mirgazaliev said.
