Mechel announces achieving the record volumes of coal exports to the Asia-Pacific region in the H1 2014.
In January-June 2014 Mechel exported 5.3 million tons of coal to the markets in the Asia-Pacific, which is the best indicator within the company's history. In the same period of 2013 about 3.8 million tons were shipped to the Asia-Pacific countries. Thus, "Mechel"’s eastward coal exports grew by 39%; the share of Asia-Pacific countries in the total coal exports amounted to 75%.
