Georgia is still interested in the construction of the oil refinery plant at the Poti port, deputy Minister of Energy of Georgia, M. Valishvili said. According to her, the construction of the oil refinery plant is among the priority goals of Georgia. In October 2014 the Government of Georgia announced a tender in connection with the project of development of the oil refinery plant at the Poti port. 3 companies participated in the tender: New Artway Ltd, Lohrmann International and OTC Consortium. In July 2015 the tender was completed, however, all its participants were disqualified as they hadn’t submitted full documentation stipulated in the conditions of the tender.
