Perm oil refinery to purchase grease oil for processing

​Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez has launched a deep oil processing unit – up to 98%.

As a result the production of residual oil will be terminated, the growth of Euro-5 diesel fuel will make up 1.1 mln tons a year, of hydrocleaned vacuum gasoil – 120 thousand tons a year.

The plant will reach a record for Russia depth of oil processing – 98%, Lukoil’s head V. Alekperov said.

Currently the plant produces 1.8 mln tons of residual oil a year.

The unit on the processing of oil residue comprises a delayed coking unit with the capacity of 2.1 mln tons a year, unit of diesel fuel hydrocleaning with the capacity of 1.5 mln tons a year and hydrogen production with the capacity of 30 thousand tons a year.

After the realization of the project, the Perm oil refinery will increase the output of Euro-5 diesel fuel by 22.7% to 5.4 mln tons a year, of hydrocleaned vacuum gasoil-by 10.2% to 1.3 mln tons a year, oil coke-by 2.7 times to 635 thousand tons.
