Independent traders complain about Lukoil to the Federal Antimonopoly Service

Independent participants of oil products market have accused Lukoil of overpricing in the sale of fuel on the stock exchange, as a result of which it is bought only by traders of the company itself. The latter believes that they just try to take the retail margin from it, and the change in practice will lead to unbalance of the market and the growth of wholesale prices. The point in the dispute should be made by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), but it almost doesn’t have tools for this: the attempt to change the situation, made by the Service a year ago, failed in fact. Now experts see the main risk for Lukoil in the situation, when the Service, irritated by its actions, may change the rules of the game.

Independent participants of the petroleum products market have sent complaints of Lukoil to the FAS, the Kommersant’s sources report. According to them, these are the largest traders - Ufaoil, Solid - Commodity Markets, Algorithm. Fuel integrator, Voronezh fuel company (independent network of filling stations) and Tyumen Fuel Union (regional branch of the Russian Fuel Union). The essence of the claims is that on the exchange Lukoil offers fuel from its refinery at a price, which is significantly higher than on the market.
