Ministry of Economic Development predicts increase in coal production in Russia to 370 million tons by 2018

Ministry of Economic Development of Russia in its baseline scenario expects growth in coal production to 370 million tons by 2018. Last year, Russia produced 356 million tons of coal (+ 0.7% against 2013). Thus, by 2018, the coal production will grow by 3.9%.

Along with the increased production the Ministry of Economic Development predicts the growth in coal exports to 165 million tons, due to investments of coal companies in creation of their own port terminals for handling and optimizing the logistics of exports.
