A.Novak: 130 oil refining units to be put in operation before 2020

The Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation A.Novak met with the management of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the core group of the Committees of the Chamber and figures from business. The Minister spoke about the current situation in the fuel-and-energy sector, primary goals and answered the questions.

One of the most pressing challenges is import substitution in the fuel-and-energy sector. “There have been already defined priority areas and formed an order for the industry,” Minister added.

The master plan of the development of the oil sector, inclusive of fields depletion in Western Siberia, move towards active development of Eastern Siberia and the Far East, shelf and the deposits with hard to recover reserves are priorities according to the official website of the Ministry of Energy.

In terms of oil refining, Minister paid special attention to the implementation of modernization programme of the oil refinery. Minister said that 130 new and updated units are to be put in operation before 2020.
